The Coveted Pony Ride
The Goats:
Last week Kate had a sleepover at Nana's house and she rode Nana's horse, Belle, for the first time. Nana said she loved it. So a few days later after Todd flew the F-16 at Hill Air Force Base, we took her to the Utah State Fair and she wanted to ride the ponies. So Todd paid the $4 and took her in. I stood by and took pictures and waved at her smiling face as she shouted to me, "Look at me Mommy, Look at Me!" Then before I knew it, I was putting the camera away in the diaper bag and I heard Kate SCREAMING bloody murder! I thought she was hurt until Todd brought her closer and I could hear her saying, "Kate do it again! Pleeeeeeeease. Kate do it again!" We finally diverted her attention to the goats, pigs, chickens, etc. but we made the mistake of leaving the same way we came in. So, the last thing she saw before we left was the pony ride. She freaked out once again and cried nearly the whole way home, "Kate ride the horsey! Kate ride the horsey!"

I remember Jimmie at the farm at Thanksgiving Point...he was HORRIFIED to ride the pony...so, maybe Kate can teach him a thing or two :)

Awwww, let her ride it again!!! You guys should make a trip up here for a visit and we'll take you up to Rob's parent's home. His dad has over 40 horses and Kate could ride her heart out.

Great posts. Brian is seriously looking at those pictures of Todd flying and dying! That would be his dream. I bet that is a day Todd will remember forever. Kate on the horse is so cute. She's getting so big. Jane is so big too. She's so cute. Adorable girls.
