He (or it could be a She) has not officially been named yet.
Kate calls him "Turtle"
Todd calls him Speedy-Spike II (after the turtle my brother had growing up)
And I call him "Squirt" like the little guy on Finding Nemo.
Todd brought him home from Texas as an early Birthday present for Kate.
She LOVES this little guy and constantly asks to "hold him."
He's not much bigger than a quarter.
I hope he lives!!! Ah!

Oh my gosh! We just got rid of our red-eared slider 6 months ago!! I can tell you ALL about them. Our turtle was named Scooter. He was so fun but ended up being alot of work. Hint: if they have long claws and a long tail they are male, short claws and short tail: female. :) Let me know if you have any questions.
Shannon, I'm so excited to keep in touch! I'm excited for you and your family as your baby countdown is coming to an end. I am sitting with Jackson right now and he's begging me for a turtle just like yours that he can keep in his room. So, I'm excited to hear how squirt, speedy 2, the turtle does.

I love your turtle. If we ever were to get a pet, I think that would have to be it. What kind of turtle is it? Do they die easily? :)
